Ducati recalls latest superbike Ducati 1199 Panigale

375 numbers of 1199 Panigale super bikes are being recalled by Ducati due to serious apprehensions regarding rear suspension. After the launch of this super bike, it was found that certain 1199 models have a defective screw which, if left unattended could lead to problems with rear suspension. This could cause serious accidents or crash. Ducati will be intimating customers in due course wherein customers will be asked to bring in their 1199 Panigale superbike and get it fixed free of cost.

Ducati 1199 Panigale was introduced in the market in November 2011 with a price tag of $24,000. These bikes are produced at the company plant in Panigale and hence its name. The superbikes are offered in three versions, standard, S model and Tricolore S. These bikes possess 4vcp twin engines with electronic suspension, traction control, anti lock breaking and quick shift.

Recalls are not new where Ducati is concerned. The company has had a series of recalls in the past year. Earlier 283 2012 bikes were recalled due to break defects. 900 Monster 1100 EVOs were also called in for rear wheel defects while 900 motorcycles were called for a free fuel leak valve replacement.

Following is the price of Panigale superbike: 1199 Panigale $24,000, 1199 Panigale ABS variant - $25,195, 1199 Panigale S ABS variant - $31,595, 1199 Panigale S Tricolore variant - $37,585.

Ducati launches special edition Monster

Ducati launches special edition Monster in collaboration with fashion giant, Diesel Bike

If the German car-maker Audi goes ahead with its plans of buying Ducati, who knows, there may be a TDI engine powered Duke in the future. For now, check out this special edition Monster launched by the Italian marquee recently.

It has military green body panels in matte finish and yellow brake callipers on the front disc rotors while the footpegs, seat, wheels, exhaust and even the trellis chassis are all painted in black. Also, the exhaust heat shield and the seat have ribbed design. Diesel on their part have launched a special collection of riding gear and accessories under the 'Capsule collection'. The Monster Diesel was unveiled at the Diesel store in New York city, USA recently but will arrive in Ducati showrooms only by July this year

Diesel is an Italian clothing brand most famous for their denims. Diesel has been associated with Ducati since last year as their MotoGP team sponsor. Taking the partnership forward, Ducati has launched the special edition of their Monster 1100EVO naked street-bike called the 'Monster Diesel'.
