Ducati recalls latest superbike Ducati 1199 Panigale

375 numbers of 1199 Panigale super bikes are being recalled by Ducati due to serious apprehensions regarding rear suspension. After the launch of this super bike, it was found that certain 1199 models have a defective screw which, if left unattended could lead to problems with rear suspension. This could cause serious accidents or crash. Ducati will be intimating customers in due course wherein customers will be asked to bring in their 1199 Panigale superbike and get it fixed free of cost.







Ducati 1199 Panigale was introduced in the market in November 2011 with a price tag of $24,000. These bikes are produced at the company plant in Panigale and hence its name. The superbikes are offered in three versions, standard, S model and Tricolore S. These bikes possess 4vcp twin engines with electronic suspension, traction control, anti lock breaking and quick shift.

Recalls are not new where Ducati is concerned. The company has had a series of recalls in the past year. Earlier 283 2012 bikes were recalled due to break defects. 900 Monster 1100 EVOs were also called in for rear wheel defects while 900 motorcycles were called for a free fuel leak valve replacement.

Following is the price of Panigale superbike: 1199 Panigale $24,000, 1199 Panigale ABS variant - $25,195, 1199 Panigale S ABS variant - $31,595, 1199 Panigale S Tricolore variant - $37,585.
